Philosophy & Why this Site
Successful educators learn from and share with each other to build strong professional learning networks of support. Engaging in this learning and moving outside of your comfort zone can be both intimidating and overwhelming; however, it is so important at every level starting with the classroom. As an administrator, I aspire to engage and empower my professional learning community (PLC) toward continuous improvement through shared commitments and learning opportunities.
I have decided to create this site to share my learning and to offer easily understood and practical resources for educators on a similar journey, creating a system of support resulting in learning without the curve.
- I believe that all successful educational leaders must live and model their expectations.
- I believe that all successful educational leaders should never require what they are not willing to roll-up their sleeves to support.
- I believe that the second educational leaders think they have nothing to learn is the second that they are no longer educational leaders.
- I believe that teaching does not begin until the hands go up and teaching does not end until the hands come down.
I have decided to create this site to share my learning and to offer easily understood and practical resources for educators on a similar journey, creating a system of support resulting in learning without the curve.
